Policy Notification

Thank you for choosing Your Healing Massage for your treatment and bodywork needs. In order to give the best service possible to you, I ask that you honor the following policies.

Massage Policies

Client services and chart information are confidential. Your written authorization is required to release any information.

       Please refrain the use of your cell phone and set to vibrate for optimal relaxation.

  • Your scheduled session is set aside for you. I do not double-book appointments.

  • 24-hour cancellation notice is required to avoid being charged 50% for your canceled session.

  • Please reschedule your session if you are more than 15 minutes late.

  • You will be draped and at no time will genitalia or breast tissue be exposed

    Should the session require, you may disrobe to your comfort level after your therapist has left the room.

    I understand that I or my massage therapist may end the session at any time for any reason. 

  • Inappropriate sexual behavior will not be tolerated and may be reported to the authorities.

 

Cancellation Policy

I respectfully ask that you provide me with a 24-hour notice of any schedule changes or cancellation requests. Please, understand that when you cancel or miss your appointment without providing a 24-hour notice I'm often unable to fill that appointment time. This is an inconvenience to your therapist and also means my other clients miss the chance to receive services they need. For this reason, you will be charged 50% of the service fee for the first missed session and 100% of the service fee for each session after that. I also reserve the right to require a credit card number to be given to book future appointments so that appropriate fees may be charged if a late cancellation does occur.

I understand that emergencies might happen. If you have a fever, a known infection, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours prior to your appointment time, I request that you cancel your session. Inclement weather may also result in the need for late cancellations. I will do my best to give advance notice if I'm closing or need to cancel due to bad weather, and I ask you to do the same. Please, do not risk your own safety trying to make your appointment. Late cancellation due to emergency, illness, or inclement weather will generally not result in any missed session charges, but this is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Late Arrival Policy

I request that you arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow time to fill out any required paperwork as well as answer any intake questions your therapist may have. I understand that issues may happen that may cause you to be late for your appointment. However, I ask that you call to inform me, so I can do my best to accommodate you. Appointment times are reserved for each client, so oftentimes I cannot exceed that reserved time without making the next client late. For this reason, arriving after your appointment time may result in loss of time from your massage so that your session ends at the scheduled time. Full-service fees will be charged even when sessions are shortened due to late arrival. In return, I will do my best to be on time, and if I'm unable to do so, I will add time to your session to make up for our late arrival or adjust the service charge accordingly.

Behavior Policy

Massage therapy is for relaxation and therapeutic purposes only. There is absolutely no sexual component to massage whatsoever. Any sexual requests or any insinuation about it will result in immediate termination of your session and a refusal of any and all services in the future. You will be charged the full-service fee regardless of the length of your session. Depending on the behavior exhibited I may also file a report with the local authorities if necessary.

Client Agreement

I understand that therapeutic massage therapists do not diagnose illness, disease, any physical or mental disorder, nor do they prescribe medical treatment, pharmaceuticals, or perform joint mobilization.

I acknowledge that massage therapy is not a substitute for medical examination or diagnosis, and it is recommended that a physician be seen for that service.

It is my choice to receive therapeutic massage as a form of therapy.

I understand that treatment given is designed to address the care and prevention of myofascial pain and dysfunction.

I also understand that at any time I feel pain or discomfort during the session, I will immediately inform my therapeutic massage therapist so they adjust. 

I have stated my pertinent medical conditions, and will update the massage therapist of any changes in my health status.

I understand that my failure to do so may pose a threat to my health and/physical well-being and I hold harmless "Your Healing Massage" and my therapeutic massage therapist from any liability whatsoever arising from failure on my part.
